2.         STSS II (Show, Tell, Sell, Satisfy) - 1991, 1993, 1995.  Participated in 9 total programs for the Purina dealers.  Presented sessions on: 1) “Trouble Shooting Dairy Operations - Calves and Heifers”, 2) “Forage and Ingredient Evaluation”, and 3) Tour of research facilities.   Total attendance equaled 900.

 

3.         VIP 2000 (Value In Purina) - 1992-1999.  Participated in 31 total two-day and 3 total one-day programs for dairy customers and prospects. 8.         Dairy Consultant Meetings - 1990-1999.  Responsible for the organization, coordination, presentation and follow-up of 29 meetings for the Dairy Consultants of Purina.  Average attendance of participants was 25-30.

 

9.         Calf Certification Program-1999.  Responsible for sessions on “Feeding and Management of the Calf from birth to 6 months”; taking each class along with a veterinarian through a local calf operation to review, critique, and make recommendations for improvement; and lead discussions for three regional (Harrisburg, PA; Fond du Lac, WI; and Fort Worth, TX) 2-day programs with dealers, dairy specialists, and dairy consultants.  Total attendance equaled 150.

2.    The Dairy Breeding and Feeding Council jointly sponsored by Agribrands Europe Hungary and the Holstein Genetika Llc., Hungary on November 7 in Hajduszoboszlo (125 dairy producers) and November 8 in Balatonfured (110 dairy producers).  Feeding and Management Aspects of Reproduction in High-Producing Dairy Cows.  Presentation and proceedings translated into Hungarian. 

 

3.    Dairy Nutrition and Management Conference 2000 jointly sponsored Agribrands Purina Canada and Alpharma Animal Health Division.  Guest speaker along with Dr. Karen Beauchemin of Ag Canada and Dr. Bill Bickert of Michigan State University.  Held in Ontario at Kemptville on November15 with 75 dairy Producers, and in Stratford on November 16 with 130 dairy producers.   Nutrition and Management Strategies to Maximize Heifer Productivity.
